Happy First Day of Spring

Looking for some fun things to do with your children now that spring is in the air?

Check out a few things on my spring bucket list!

February is the month our DHA kids are learning all about their body and how to keep it healthy! We will be talking about making good food choices, how to keep “Sugar Bugs” out of our teeth, and other ways to have a healthy body.

One of the ways we try to encourage our kiddos to have a healthy body is to GET MOVING! Any chance the teachers have during the day, they have the kids dancing, doing races outside, riding bikes and anything else they can think of to get the kids moving.

It’s that time of year again! Runny noses, sneezing, and coughing. OH MY!

Cold and flu season is here!

It’s the time of year where you might increase your kid’s vitamins, find yourself cleaning more and doing a lot of wishful hoping that your child can SOMEHOW avoid the sicknesses this year.

Did you know that one of the best ways to keep your kids from getting sick, and reduce the spread of germs, is also one of the easiest things to teach them?

Hand washing!

We hope that you had a fun and restful Christmas break, but now it is time to get going again! A new year brings new adventures and a fresh start. We are looking forward to being with your children and watching them grow. Thanks for being part of our  Dogwood Hills Academy family!

The teachers and administration want to take a moment and thank you all for your good wishes and gifts during the Christmas season. You and your children gave us gifts for our tummies, minds and hearts! The holidays are always so much fun at DHA. The kids had a blast and we did too!

What is it about a new year that makes you want to just get things in order and make changes to better ourselves and family? If you’re anything like me, one of your New Year resolutions this year might be to make your mornings run smoother.
